After Math

Everyone enjoys going out at night, there's many things to do, go to a restaurant, an event, downtown, the list is endless. The issue of going out at night is that there are more occurring crimes; for example me and my friend went to the movies at SliverCity, the weather was windy and extremely cold, after watching the movie we had to walk back to the bus stop. By this time, the wind was even harsher and tremendously cold, the sky was dark and completely clear. While waiting for our bus, we were surrounded by about 6 people, 2 elderly ladies, 2 teenager boys and one girl about 23 who looks like she's coming back from university and a oc garbage attendant. The 23 girl was on her phone watching something on YouTube and I was casually sitting beside her, and in an instant blink of a eye, a 15 year old teenager grasped her phone and took off running towards the door, I noticed it and I ran to the door to get him but he escaped, the girl bolted after him, they both ran up the stairs and everyone stood but watched. I quickly got out of the booth and explained to the oc garbage attendant what happened and she called security and with the car drove to get him. My friend and I were so scared, nothing this horrific happened to us; hands shaking, the girl came back and we asked her if she's okay and than our bus came, we asked her if she wanted us to stay and she told us it was fine. So we got on the bus, and the whole way back the only thought in our minds was how could someone do that ?
